Faculty and Staff
The minor is administratively housed within the UCLA Institute for Research on Labor and Employment (IRLE) with active collaboration from the UCLA Center for Labor Research & Education (the Labor Center). Classes are taught in large part by Project Directors at the UCLA Labor Center, as well as additional in-house lecturers, visiting faculty, and affiliated faculty in other departments. Administrative support is provided by the Student Affairs Officer (SAO) and Internship Coordinator.
A Faculty Advisory Committee with representatives from Chicano/a Studies, History, Urban Planning, and other departments provides guidance and long range planning support. An Executive Committee consisting of the Faculty Chair, the Student Affairs Officer, and Labor Center academic staff oversee the week-to-week management of the minor. The Executive Committee is also committed to the critical analysis, discussion and formulation of recommendations with regards to the overall structure of the Labor minor.
